PROTEST!

I recently became gainfully employed at a restaurant downtown thanks to an old friend from high school, Eric Parks. It was right before the lunch hour rush, when a usually busy street became silent and police cars started to crowd the streets and sirens were blaring. The cause: a PROTEST!
There were police and picketers on every corner and the police shut down two busy streets of traffic while the rioters linked their arms together with large pieces of PVC pipe and laid down in the middle of the street!

I got these pictures with my cell phone so the quality is not the best, but I think you can get the main idea.
So being curious, on my lunch break I went outside and talked to one a girl who was holding a picket sign. The question, of course, was, "What are you protesting?"

To paraphrase her response, Obama is not doing what he promised as far as protecting the environment and Chicago being his hometown, they wanted him to know they were disappointed...I'm still wondering if he got the message.

Ridiculous. Or interesting. I admire passion a LOT.
