More Caves

So, after the Buddha Cave adventure, my friend Jake and I decided to go to another cave, one that has a river running through the cave. I'll spare you the details of the 10 HOUR motorcycle ride...the when we finally got there, the enterance of the cave looked like this.

Inside was SO DARK! It was so dark the only light we had was the light of our Laotian guide's head lamp! The river was three miles long with natural water falls all over the cave. Our guide had to naviagate around them so we didn't get soaked!

The cool thing was there were all of these staglamite (does anyone know the official name?) formations that we got to walk around.

The total trip for this adventure was about $5...that included the boat ride and our guide. I love Laos!
