CHI TOWN: My soon to be home
MY SOON TO BE HOME
Ten days ago I took the most unsuspecting amazing trip to Chicago! This is a city that I had been wanting to visit for a long time and finally took the plunge as a last hoo-rah before school started this year. It was so fun to be in a big city again. Here are some of the highlights. I went to the top of the Sears Tower which is the tallest building in the world! It's now called the Willis Tower but the natives don't call it that so I didn't either.

The recently added these viewing boxes which I stood in. I took a picture of what I would have looked like to the people across the way.
However, the highlight of my trip was reconnecting with my high school friend Freddy. He was the perfect host: taking me to lots of fun restaurants, letting me use his bus pass to get around, reliving senior pictures, and making me laugh harder and longer than I had in a long time.
He was also a good sport and went to Six Flags Great America where we had a super fun day riding rides and getting advise on rides from kids. Freddy actually blogged about it too...thecof.com
He is a really great writer and tells a really animated story about out reunion. Thanks for letting me visit, Freddy.
After checking out a grad school program there and falling in love with the city, I have decided to move there! I will be leaving St. George Labor Day weekend and driving across the country to start a new life and adventure in Chicago! I will be able to do all the things I love...MMA, work out and eat yummy Thai food. Chicago...here I come!
